The measurement section of the ZT-100 is made up of two pipes forming a cylindrical capacitor with a length of 330mm and with a 5.17mm clearance between inner and outer section as can be seen on Detail 1. Pipes are made of 316L (non-wettable) and are normally not prone to residue build-up as may be the case for (wettable) Carbon Steel.
The unit can if needed be cleaned using de-greasing agent and/or hot water/steam. Industrial pressure washers can be used to clean as long as care is taken not to put the nozzle directly close up against the PEEK spacers used to hold the pipe sections separated. PEEK is a resilient ceramic-like material and able to withstand high temperatures (over 250 deg C) as well as aggressive cleaning agents. For the inside of the main 150mm spool there are no sensitive parts, high force steam cleaning can be used. For the outside, care has to be taken not to subject the electronic enclosure to high pressure cleaning. There are no other sensitive parts.
